My little Ballerina

ballerina

Gracie loves to dance. The stage is her home. I guess from us putting her in pageants at a young age she has always loved the spotlight. I have been thinking more and more about putting her in something like dance and the opportunity came and we signed her up. She has had two classes and has loved them. We cant watch her which is a bummer but it helps with listening to the teacher better and not get distracted.

She is taking ballet and tap. She just got her little shoes and has wanted to wear them everyday since.

Then we celebrated Mother's Day and Stephen bought me the most precious gift-- a charm bracelet with all the things that mean the most to me.

Heart, snowman couple, Mother-Daughter heart, cross

A little Ballerina bow I made.
Our Wal-mart is starting to carry fabric again, so I was able to find ribbon by the yard. Yay :)

So proud of Gracie. We started "school" yesterday and she has LOVED it so much. We learned about the letter "A" and after teaching her she has learned how to write "A"... She could not wait to show her daddy when he got home. We are also doing different Pre-k workbooks and she LOVES it...

My Joy

My last post was on prayer and honestly, it was one of my most favorite. Since, I have posted the people who were originally wanting to buy our Lake City home could not come up with the cash-they had made a cash offer- and so our house is still on the market. I know that it will sell. Please continue to pray that everything works out.

The Lord answered a prayer about my dad. I find out on Friday how he is doing. Very thankful things are looking up for him. As for my mom they found a 8 mm nodule on her thyroid. She has yet to find out if she will need surgery or not. She is nervous, because at 16 she had half of it out and remembers the pain being horrible. Please pray that the nodule would no longer be there or that if she does has to have surgery that the recovery will not be as bad.

I have another praise. The girl from the last post who is due in Sept. texted me and she is having a BOY! I'm so thrilled.. It was almost like I was the one pregnant..hehe I just love love babies! Can't wait to buy her a shower gift!

Lastly, I have had a great day with Gracie. She continues to amaze me with the things she does and says. This morning we were outside playing and she was riding her bike. When she heard in the distance a ambulance and fire truck. She said "Mama, we need to pray for those people". Bowed her head and said the sweetest prayer that the people would be safe.

I just adore her.
She is so so special to us.
I know she will do great things for the Lord one day.
I'm proud to be her mom.

Hope you are having a fantastic week!

God's Grace and my love <3

P.S. Happy Belated -blog- Birthday to my hubby! I could go on and on about how much I love him but I will save yall the details-- he is A-MAZING!

My prayer..

I have struggled with what my post title should be for some time now. The Lord has been moving in my heart and I'm just so overwhelmed. Writing a post is hard because sometimes its difficult to put into words how you actually feel and make it sound right. I have wanted to post about Prayer and each time I do it, I'm either interrupted by my little princess or the words do not come.

What is prayer? I looked up what the definition of it means and it said:
A solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship.

I really like that. An expression of Thanks or help. So many times we think of ourselves when it comes to prayer. We want and want- I mean that's the human way but if you think about sometimes the biggest blessing we get is praying for others.

The Lord has put women in my path the last 6 months who can not conceive. Is it a coincidence... I think not. I think he wants me to minister to these women, and I'm so so thankful that I get the opportunity to. He has answered a prayer I prayed for a while now for a sweet girl to conceive and she is due in Sept. I rejoice with her because although I have not walked in her shoes with infertility I have been there on my knees in a time of need pleading with God to hear and heal my heart.

The Lord spoke to me a month ago- It was so clear. He said "Pray for her, she wants a baby"... I thought Okay, Lord I will pray, but in my heart I thought was that really what he wanted me to pray for. No, kidding a week later I got a request from this same woman asking for prayer for her to get pregnant. Since then I have received the request again. How awesome is that. The Lord using me-- in this special way.

Sometimes, in life-Satan throws curve balls as I like to call it at us and he wants us to feel less of what we are called by God. I challenge you today to start a prayer list. Its amazing to check off and have praise reports and prayers answered.

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

On another prayer I have been asking for is.. to sell our home. Well, Praise the Lord we have an offer and hopefully the bank will accept this cash offer. I'm still praying and look forward to finally selling our Lake City home:)

I also, need prayer for my dad. Its a tough subject but the bottom line is he has a disease and with prayer I know the Lord will cure it. I believe he will. I have faith he will.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Would you join me in praying for that sweet lady, my house to sell, and for my dad.

Until Next Time,

Kim

Princesses and the Easter Bunny :)

Today is Easter Sunday and we had a beautiful Sunday. The service was one of my all time favorites. I love everything about Easter. I love love remembering my Jesus who died for my sins and celebrating the fact that he arose 3 days later. I love my Lord,my church, and family so much. I think the other reason why I love Easter is because we get to spend family time together. We color eggs and Gracie gets to play with her little trinket toys the Easter bunny brought. She was so cute this morning because she found an almost empty 2 liter of orange soda and she thought that Easter Bunny had drank it ;)

To back track yesterday, was my baby girls 3rd Birthday. I just cant get over how much time has flown by. She is now fully potty trained and so so independent. I just marvel at all the things she learns and remembers. Just the other night I was reading a silly book about Ernie and his missing duckie and after I got done doing all our night time things she just hugged me and kissed my cheek as to say I was the best mommy in the world. Its times like that in those moments that my heart is so full of God's goodness..

We celebrated her birthday in true princess fashion. She had her little friends over from church and we just had such a fun girls day. She got a little surprise from her Mamaw- a bunnie and she named him Prince:) We have so much fun with that little guy and he has become a part of the family. Here are a few pics from her fun day!

Lost for words

I'm at a lost for words. I have tired to write over and over but the words don't come out right. Parenting a toddler is hard- being a parent period is hard work. I remember when we first got married and I would see these parents getting onto their children and think- "I will never be like them" and now I think "I know exactly how you feel". Don't get me wrong, I love love being a mom but it takes A LOT of patience. My prayer for Gracie being that she is indeed very strong willed is that she will use this strong willfulness to do great things for the Lord some day. She is a blessing to us. I laugh because I see so much of me in her. She is my twin its scary!

They say the 3's are worse and honestly I'm terrified. HA! There are some days where all I do is get onto her. Very rarely does any type of discipline work. She will look at me and say "No, Ma'am" or "I will do it if I want".... Oh this child.\

I guess today was one of those days, that I needed to vent. I cant even imagine having two. What would I do.. haha!

Busy Post...

Here I am posting again in what feels like forever and for that I'm sorry. We have finally really moved into our new house. The "Extra" room still had a few final touches to be made and this past week, I finally got it all organized.

We have a had a few fun adventures since my last post. We visited my mom and dad in Plant City. Gracie was old enough this year to participate in Pee Wee Showmanship. Basically, my brother shows cows and he helps Gracie lead his cow around the arena. She got the cutest little trophy.

Gracie said I'm gonna walk Tank and Yancey LOL

One of my favorite pics from our friend Emma's B-day

The following weekend, Stephen went out of town to a Sunday School conference. I was nervous staying home alone with Gracie-but it was for one night and it turned out great. I love spending one on one time with her. She is almost 3 and you can really tell how much she has matured just in the last 5 months. She is my joy and I just love hearing her talk.

Picnic time

Swimming..

Ice cream date at Powell's

It was actually warm and so we pulled out her pool, we had a picnic and just did fun stuff outside. Did I mention, I love being outside. Its crazy because if you know me, you would know I hate outdoors. For some reason, I'm taking a lot of pride in my yard. My grandma gave me Knock-out roses for a house warming gift and I got to plant them:) They look so beautiful.

Then, Stephen's parents came for a visit for a couple days because my mother in law is on spring break. Gracie had so much fun with them. They even brought her a birthday cake, and gifts (they will not make it to her party this year because of Easter being the next day)... We had so much fun with them, and showing them our new church and house.

Looking forward to the Summer months- when we get to go on vacations! We love to travel :)

My new Summer Do :)
