All I need

I was asked recently what my motives where for posting things on facebook or why I blog. My number one reason for why I blog is to keep track of the cute and sometimes funny things Gracie does and says. I also wanted to give others a glimpse into my life. Is it perfect-by no means, but with Christ I live a great life full of blessings.

We have been under spiritual warfare recently. There are times I feel like saying to God----please make this pain go away. Tonight, I poured out my heart to God during my bubble bath--haha thats where I have most of my quiet time:) Praising him, telling him he is all I need and thats when the Bethany Dillon song came to my mind. I love music, it speaks to me. I love how the Lord always uses a song and a scripture to get a hold of me and set me straight.

My most favorite part in the song is when she says "You are all I need when I'm surrounded, You are all I need if I'm by myself, You fill me when I'm empty--There is nothing else--You're all I need!

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3

No, the Lord is all I need. He takes care of me. Psalm 16:5

I hope this song encourages you. The main reason I post scripture on FB or anywhere is not to glorify me--no way! I choose to post because that is what the Lord laid on my heart in that moment-- Why not share it with the world.

All I need

When the day is done
And there's no one else around
While I'm lying here in bed
You're in my heart, You're in my head
You're all I need, You're all I need
There are a million voices
Calling out my name
But You're the One I want to hear
So make the others disappear

You are all I need when I'm surrounded
You are all I need if I'm by myself
You fill me when I'm empty
There is nothing else
You're all I need

When the morning comes
And Your mercy is renewed
There's a fire in my bones
I'm not afraid to go alone
You're all I need
You're all I need
The sun on my face
I hear You whisper loud
You're still the God that opens seas
Every flower, even me
You're all I need
You're all I need

I'm drawn to everything that You do

Nothing compares with You

The Sweet Life of a Pastors Wife!

Stephen and I just celebrated 7 years of marriage on July 9th. That means I personally have been in the ministry for 7 years. What a wonderful blessing it has been to minister along side my husband. Even when we face trials, my love for the ministry is still there and my heart continues to overflow for the Lost.

When we first got married, I questioned God a lot. Why this profession... Am I really called into this position or is it just Stephen. As the years have gone I know for a fact I was called into the ministry as well.

As Christians we are all called into the ministry. As believers we should be spreading God's word to the lost. Having a heart for people who are broken, who need the love of our heavenly father.

These past 7 years have been so sweet. Now, don't get me wrong there have been tough times. Satan wants us to miserable. He wants us to question things. I just remind myself, that with God all things are possible.

I look forward to the years to come. I cant wait to see what God has in store. I know for a fact it will be great.

I love you, Stephen!

Love, Kim

Our life lately!

Facebook, blogger, email all these things have been less important to me these past two weeks. I have felt very burden and heart broken and when I feel like that its hard to write and then if I write it comes across wrong or so I'm told.

Life is funny. Living the Christian life is not easy. Just because I'm saved and I have Jesus on my side does not mean my life will be full of sunny days and green pastures. If anything its harder because Satan is constantly trying to get in.

I will not let him win. That's kinda how I've always been. He will not take victory over me. I will trust the Lord. I read a quote recently "When Christ is all you have, that is when you know, Christ is all you need."
I loved finding that quote. It spoke volumes to me.

We have been super busy. Our house almost flooded two weeks ago, right before that during vbs we found out that my father in law had kidney cancer. We never questioned God, never once. We knew that with prayer the Lord would see us through.

Then a week ago we had to leave our church for political/financial reasons, with no other church prospect we are yet again in the same position of waiting in prayer for God to send us where he wants us to go.
One thing I know---God is there with you. He comforts you. He is enough.

We learned this week that my father in law was healed. He had a 4cc tumor in left kidney and then when he went back last week it was gone. Only the Lord could heal him this way. I'm reminded of this verse when I think about God and how he does things like that at the right time when we need an answered prayer.

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you, he rises to show compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 30:18

I just love that scripture. It has helped me these past weeks.

Our house is water free--yay! There was a time I looked out my window and just cried. The water was all around and rising. The Lord saw us through that storm too.

Another Answered Prayer: Back in April I did a post on Prayer. I had wrote about a girl who wanted to get pregnant-- Well, last week I found out she was pregnant after 2 years with....TWINS!!!
God is good all the time he is good. The same God who is there during a trial is the same today. He never changes.

Hope this post encourages you. Please be in prayer for our next step too.

Love, Kim
