Amazing Wonders Aviation!

Gracie had so much fun at VBS this year. She was able to actually go to a class and do the rotations. She learned a lot songs during the week and it was such a blessing to watch her perform them. To see our baby-girl on stage praising the Lord is hard to explain-- it just makes my heart feel full.

Here are two pictures from the week. My two most favorite ones!

Praising!

Tonight she was going through her gift bag she had got from VBS. She took out these two Popsicle sticks and put together to form a cross and said "Mama, Jesus died on a cross, was buried and is ALIVE"...
How sweet is that!

Christians + Alcohol

I have debated on whether or not I should share my heart on this subject. For some time now I have seen many Christians who drink and.it hurts my heart on so many levels.

I found this article from Jesus is the Light.com. This man speaks on being a christian and drinking. I loved the ending when he talks about being salt and light to the world:----->
........................................................................

* We are at liberty in the Lord, but we still have to be aware of how our actions affect others

People will often say, Well, I can wear what I want or drink what I want or do what I want because I'm not under law. I'm under grace. But the Bible shows us something else that we need to consider:

Romans 14:21, "It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak."

1 Corinthians 8:11-13, "And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend."

1 Corinthians 10:23, "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not."

Alcohol has caused countless numbers of people to experience death, heartache, broken homes, sinful mistakes. You name it. Obviously a whole lot of people are stumbling because of it. Instead of justifying your drinking, realize that someone else may be made weak because of you.

We should be aware of the image we portray as ambassadors of Christ. In whatever we are doing, we should ask ourselves, "Will this thing cause someone weaker in the faith confusion or alarm?" "Will this cause those who do not know the Lord to believe I am worldly?" "Will this make my kids think that I approve of them engaging in this behavior?"

* I don't want to give anyone any "ammunition" that they can use against me, and also I don't want to weaken my testimony

When we personally engage in something, to a certain extent doing it "disqualifies" us from speaking out against it. How can I tell my children not to drink alcohol if they see me drinking? How lame does it sound when they say, "But you do it," and my response is, "Oh, but I know my limits."

The Bible tells us to "Abstain from all appearance of evil" (1 Thessalonians 5:22). We are not to even give the appearance of doing something that may be judged by someone as evil. If someone sees me at a restaurant with a glass of wine in my hand, do they know whether that is my first glass or my fifth? All they see is someone drinking an alcoholic beverage. I want people to behold my good works, not my questionable behavior.

1 Peter 2:12, "Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation."

We need to see our lives through the eyes of others and act in a way that glorifies God. And we need to do all we can to not give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27) or do things that weaken our testimony as Christians.

* We are to be salt and light!

Matthew 5:13, 14 tells us, "Ye are the salt of the earth...Ye are the light of the world."

As a Christian I should be striving to set an example to others. I want to show the world that they don't need to drink to be social and happy -- they can be filled with the Holy Spirit. I want to show my brothers and sisters that they don't need to conform to this world's standards. They don't have to just blend in. What good is salt if it has lost its flavor or light that is hidden under a bushel?

Romans 12:2 "Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God."

1 Peter 2:9, "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.."

Matthew 7:13-14, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

This world is doing a whole lot of "broad" stuff that deals with alcohol, fashions & beliefs. I do not want to live like the world, look like the world, or agree with the world, unless, of course, the world is saying that Jesus is Lord and that He is the only way to be saved! I want to lift the world to higher standards, God's standards. I want to glorify God in all that I do. 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God."

* We are at war with Satan and are subject to spiritual wickedness

There is a war going on, and I don't want even one person to take this war lightly or be unprepared because they caught me slacking off. I don't want to give the impression that it is okay to "relax with a little wine" while the Enemy is plotting and scheming!

1 Peter 5:8, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

1 Peter 2:11, "Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul..."

* And, finally, for the people who insist that they drink "responsibly," can you even really trust yourselves to know when enough is enough?

How can you say you know your limits? What are you trusting, your own heart?

Jeremiah 17:9, The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Romans 13:14, "But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."

Isaiah 28:7, "But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment."

Remember, friend, no alcoholic wanted to become an alcoholic. It all starts with a sip.

............................................

From the beginning to the end, the Bible shows us the consequences that alcohol can have. (Read 1 Corinthians 6:10.) Therefore, I refuse to see anything pleasurable in something that can have such serious repercussions for my fellow man or myself.

And as a Christian and an ambassador for God, I have a responsibility to set an example to those around me. I need to be aware of the fact that at anytime and at anyplace, I am being watched. Someone is taking note of my actions. These people who are viewing me may be family members, friends, or even total strangers. Who the person is, is of no importance. What is important is that I do not want to cause even one person to stumble in their walk because of my deeds, appearance, conversation, or habits.

My little Ballerina

ballerina

Gracie loves to dance. The stage is her home. I guess from us putting her in pageants at a young age she has always loved the spotlight. I have been thinking more and more about putting her in something like dance and the opportunity came and we signed her up. She has had two classes and has loved them. We cant watch her which is a bummer but it helps with listening to the teacher better and not get distracted.

She is taking ballet and tap. She just got her little shoes and has wanted to wear them everyday since.

Then we celebrated Mother's Day and Stephen bought me the most precious gift-- a charm bracelet with all the things that mean the most to me.

Heart, snowman couple, Mother-Daughter heart, cross

A little Ballerina bow I made.
Our Wal-mart is starting to carry fabric again, so I was able to find ribbon by the yard. Yay :)

-----------

So proud of Gracie. We started "school" yesterday and she has LOVED it so much. We learned about the letter "A" and after teaching her she has learned how to write "A"... She could not wait to show her daddy when he got home. We are also doing different Pre-k workbooks and she LOVES it...

My Joy

My last post was on prayer and honestly, it was one of my most favorite. Since, I have posted the people who were originally wanting to buy our Lake City home could not come up with the cash-they had made a cash offer- and so our house is still on the market. I know that it will sell. Please continue to pray that everything works out.

The Lord answered a prayer about my dad. I find out on Friday how he is doing. Very thankful things are looking up for him. As for my mom they found a 8 mm nodule on her thyroid. She has yet to find out if she will need surgery or not. She is nervous, because at 16 she had half of it out and remembers the pain being horrible. Please pray that the nodule would no longer be there or that if she does has to have surgery that the recovery will not be as bad.

Faith Tabernacle Prayer Request Page

I have another praise. The girl from the last post who is due in Sept. texted me and she is having a BOY! I'm so thrilled.. It was almost like I was the one pregnant..hehe I just love love babies! Can't wait to buy her a shower gift!

Lastly, I have had a great day with Gracie. She continues to amaze me with the things she does and says. This morning we were outside playing and she was riding her bike. When she heard in the distance a ambulance and fire truck. She said "Mama, we need to pray for those people". Bowed her head and said the sweetest prayer that the people would be safe.

I just adore her.
She is so so special to us.
I know she will do great things for the Lord one day.
I'm proud to be her mom.

Hope you are having a fantastic week!

God's Grace and my love <3

P.S. Happy Belated -blog- Birthday to my hubby! I could go on and on about how much I love him but I will save yall the details-- he is A-MAZING!

My prayer..

I have struggled with what my post title should be for some time now. The Lord has been moving in my heart and I'm just so overwhelmed. Writing a post is hard because sometimes its difficult to put into words how you actually feel and make it sound right. I have wanted to post about Prayer and each time I do it, I'm either interrupted by my little princess or the words do not come.

What is prayer? I looked up what the definition of it means and it said:
A solemn request for help or expression of thanks addressed to God or an object of worship.

I really like that. An expression of Thanks or help. So many times we think of ourselves when it comes to prayer. We want and want- I mean that's the human way but if you think about sometimes the biggest blessing we get is praying for others.

The Lord has put women in my path the last 6 months who can not conceive. Is it a coincidence... I think not. I think he wants me to minister to these women, and I'm so so thankful that I get the opportunity to. He has answered a prayer I prayed for a while now for a sweet girl to conceive and she is due in Sept. I rejoice with her because although I have not walked in her shoes with infertility I have been there on my knees in a time of need pleading with God to hear and heal my heart.

The Lord spoke to me a month ago- It was so clear. He said "Pray for her, she wants a baby"... I thought Okay, Lord I will pray, but in my heart I thought was that really what he wanted me to pray for. No, kidding a week later I got a request from this same woman asking for prayer for her to get pregnant. Since then I have received the request again. How awesome is that. The Lord using me-- in this special way.

Sometimes, in life-Satan throws curve balls as I like to call it at us and he wants us to feel less of what we are called by God. I challenge you today to start a prayer list. Its amazing to check off and have praise reports and prayers answered.

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

On another prayer I have been asking for is.. to sell our home. Well, Praise the Lord we have an offer and hopefully the bank will accept this cash offer. I'm still praying and look forward to finally selling our Lake City home:)

I also, need prayer for my dad. Its a tough subject but the bottom line is he has a disease and with prayer I know the Lord will cure it. I believe he will. I have faith he will.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Would you join me in praying for that sweet lady, my house to sell, and for my dad.

Until Next Time,

Kim

Princesses and the Easter Bunny :)

Today is Easter Sunday and we had a beautiful Sunday. The service was one of my all time favorites. I love everything about Easter. I love love remembering my Jesus who died for my sins and celebrating the fact that he arose 3 days later. I love my Lord,my church, and family so much. I think the other reason why I love Easter is because we get to spend family time together. We color eggs and Gracie gets to play with her little trinket toys the Easter bunny brought. She was so cute this morning because she found an almost empty 2 liter of orange soda and she thought that Easter Bunny had drank it ;)

To back track yesterday, was my baby girls 3rd Birthday. I just cant get over how much time has flown by. She is now fully potty trained and so so independent. I just marvel at all the things she learns and remembers. Just the other night I was reading a silly book about Ernie and his missing duckie and after I got done doing all our night time things she just hugged me and kissed my cheek as to say I was the best mommy in the world. Its times like that in those moments that my heart is so full of God's goodness..

We celebrated her birthday in true princess fashion. She had her little friends over from church and we just had such a fun girls day. She got a little surprise from her Mamaw- a bunnie and she named him Prince:) We have so much fun with that little guy and he has become a part of the family. Here are a few pics from her fun day!

Her Bunnie named Prince :)

Lost for words

I'm at a lost for words. I have tired to write over and over but the words don't come out right. Parenting a toddler is hard- being a parent period is hard work. I remember when we first got married and I would see these parents getting onto their children and think- "I will never be like them" and now I think "I know exactly how you feel". Don't get me wrong, I love love being a mom but it takes A LOT of patience. My prayer for Gracie being that she is indeed very strong willed is that she will use this strong willfulness to do great things for the Lord some day. She is a blessing to us. I laugh because I see so much of me in her. She is my twin its scary!

They say the 3's are worse and honestly I'm terrified. HA! There are some days where all I do is get onto her. Very rarely does any type of discipline work. She will look at me and say "No, Ma'am" or "I will do it if I want".... Oh this child.\

I guess today was one of those days, that I needed to vent. I cant even imagine having two. What would I do.. haha!
