Coupons?!

Stephen and I have been living on a budget for a long time now. Because of the Birth of Gracie and buying a home and then me not working we have to be smart with our money. I have to say though that Stephen is the master planner and coupon king! He is the one that does the grocery shopping and finds all the good deals and what stores are having the sales and which are not! He even goes to 2-3 grocery stores just to get the great deals!

I have to tell ya though, I dont think we would ever go back to buying what we wanted and not using coupons because to me its so rewarding to see that you spent this much but saved more than you spent! The other day Stephen bought $40.00 worth of groceries for only $29.00 plus he got a few free things because he used a coupon! So why am I telling you this??? WELL, because I want you to save money too and feel SOOO great about it! One of our favorite places to shop is Publix- they have the best BOGO deals ever! Side note: Never buy something just because you have a coupon for it... Make sure its something that you really need:)

What is it about Pictures that can bring up such emotions whether its good or bad to your thoughts. There is something about them that capture the essences of life and something so beautiful about it too. Pictures are like time capsules and years from now people open them and in that special moment they come alive again. 


I just love Pictures and my love for them started when I was very small. I would look at albums and albums FULL of old pictures at my grandma's house and think about how life must have been all those years ago!

The Most Sweetest Sound.....

The Other day while driving to church I started to sing "Jesus, Loves Me" to Gracie and she started to sing back to me. It was the most sweetest sound I had ever heard UNTIL just last night she said "I love you" to me for the first time. I have been so sick with Bronchitis and to hear that sweet little girl tell me she loves me, just melted my heart right there!

It got me thinking about our Heavenly Father and how wonderful he must feel when his children tell him that we Love him... 

Even though I'm sick and cant be around my sweet husband and little sweetie. I'm thankful for the Most sweetest sound I heard a few days ago and continue to hear while I'm laying on the couch. Stop what your doing and just tell God that you love him....

As Gracie would sing: "Yes, Jesus Loves me"

New Year with New Blessings!

Where do I begin?! I'm just so thankful. I cant stress it enough how much the Lord continues to bless our family and because of our obedience to him he in return gives us blessings! Sometimes they are big and we see them other times they are small and it may take months before we realize the blessing that just happened. 


Its almost the end of January 2011 and its hard to believe that in 3 short months our sweet precious most wonderful blessing Gracie Lyn will be "2" she amazes us each and everyday with the funny phrases that she says or her funny dances with her high heels she does. The other day Stephen was saying while trying to put Gracie to sleep "Its like I'm wrangling a COW" all of a sudden Gracie starts MOOING:) Becoming a mom has been the most rewarding BEST job I could have right now. She makes me be a better person!


Valentines is coming up and I LOVE it because on the 12th is my b-day then two days later is the love day and holidays are so fun when you have a girl especially because of all the cutesy things you can dress them up in. Recently, I have found a love for sewing. I see so many cute things that are selling for over $20 and I think to myself "I can make that" (which I think I have learned from my mom, because she makes EVERYTHING) I have made 2 dresses so far and bows, plus a Red Tutu thats in the picture below! I hope to get a sewing machine soon because I want to start making more things like little short outfits for Gracie too.


I hope this New Year 2011 is filled with the Lords blessings as I talked about earlier. Because of him I can honestly say I'm happy so happy and Joyful too!!
