Pumpkin Carving and Mini Photo Shoot

One of my favorite pictures!
I just love taking pictures of Gracie even though at time she does not sit still and it takes and a lot of work but in the end the pictures come out perfect and are the cutest!

The other night we had a Pumpkin Carving party with friends and below are the pumpkins that we created! Gracie loves Minnie Mouse and so I thought it would be neat to carve a Minnie pumpkin!! I tried my hardest to get a picture of Gracie with her hand inside the pumpkin but no such luck! She refused because it was slimy and gross:)

Tonight we are going to the Lake City mall for a Trick or treat in the mall!! Pictures to come from that and our churches Trunk or Treat on Sunday night!!

If your happy and you know it Clap your hands!

If your Sad and you know it Wipe your eyes!

Stephen carved the Fish/cross and I carved the Minnie

I can't predict the future, I can't change the past, I just have the present moment, I must treat it as my last, I must exercise compassion, help the fallen to their feet, be a friend to the friendless, make an empty life complete, I may not have another chance, on bended knee to pray, and I thank God with humble heart, for giving me the day.

Love, Kim

Gracie.... the Little Diva:)

We recently visited my mom and went to the Hillsborough County Fair because Yancey was showing a Steer.... While we were there Gracie showed "Tank" the steer in the PeeWee Showmanship and won a little trophy. We also entered her in Miss Harvest Queen baby pageant and she won QUEEN and won Sportswear in her age group.

Gracie loves pageants and it shows.... She also LOVES the stage and actually refused to get off of it... She is our little Ham!! We love her dearly!! She is growing and getting into everything and climbing on any and everything too!!

Last night it was the cutest thing... Stephen was baptizing a little boy and was saying some opening scripture before he baptized him, Gracie shouts out "AMEN"!! Then continued to say Amen when Stephen proceeded to pray! I was asked if we taught her that and honestly No! Children pick up the way you talk and also the way you do things and because we teach Gracie to pray before her meals shes learned to say Amen:) Precious Girl!

Here are some pictures from our adventure at Mamaw Ray's House, and the Pageant!

 ENJOY:)

In Him,
Kim

The Pumpkin Patch

I just love this time of the year! The weather startes to get a little cooler, the leaves change, we get to ready for Winter which brings my most favorite: Christmas!!

My mom came to visit this past weekend and we had so much fun! I love to see Gracie's reaction when her grandparents come up to visit! She only gets to see them once and month and sometimes not even that and when they stop by to visit its special!!

Gracie adores my mom! She spoils her rotten with the gifts, and sweets she bakes and brings!! Her favorite is Ice cream sandwiches, and reeses cups! Gracie also fell in love with her water bottle which was Mamaw's "Baba"!!

Gracie is growing up so much! She amazes me with the things she learns! She can sing the "I love you" song and counts to 10! She can even say her alphabet too! Just the other day I found her pretending to pour her bottle into a pretend cup and mix up her pretend food in a bowl.. The funniest thing is that she follows what her "dog" sister Bella does! They have the best time running around the house chasing eachother, and Gracie loves to feed her everything! Just the other night we gave Bella some food off our plate, and Gracie crawled over and pretended to lick her bowl!! hehe!!

Fall= Pumpkins=Pumpkin Patches!! We visited one this Sat and had a blast!! We went through a corn maize, and Gracie rode the cow train, we saw animals, and took LOTS of pictures!!! Gracie also had her first haircut- a trim so that her hair would grow out!!

Enjoy the pictures!

Until Next Time,

Kim

Fall is HERE!!

This weekend we are taking Gracie to a pumpkin patch in Gainesville. I love to do crafts with her, like we are in school here at home. I searched and found a great site that has cute little Pumpkin poems and craft projects.... Today we are going to make a pumpkin patch out of her fingerprints...

She is sooo much fun and loves anything crafty and MESSY!! lol

Here a cute pumpkin poem to get you into the Fall spirit!! Visit a pumpkin patch this month and tell your kids this story when your carving it:)

P.S. Pictures from the patch to come.... Of course, right?!?!

Gracie Last year. Halloween 2009

From the Pumpkin..

They chose me from my brothers,
"That's the nicest one!" they said.
And they carved me out a face,
And put a candle in my head.
Then they set me on the doorstep,
Oh, the night was dark and wild.
When they lit the candle,
Then I smiled!

Happy Fall Ya'll,
Kim

The Handwriting on the Wall...

A weary mother returned from the store,
Lugging groceries through the kitchen door.
Awaiting her arrival was her eight-year-old son
Eager to relate what his younger brother had done.

"While I was out playing and Dad was on a call
T.J. took his crayons and wrote on the wall!
It's on the new paper you just hung in the den.
I told him you'd be mad at having to do it again."
She let out a moan and furrowed her brow.
"Where is your little brother right now?"

She emptied her arms and with a purposeful stride,
She marched to his closet where he had gone to hide.

She called his full name as she entered his room.

He trembled with fear -- he knew that meant doom!

For the next ten minutes, she ranted and raved

About the expensive wallpaper and how she had saved.

Stressed over all the work it would take to repair,

She condemned his actions and total lack of care.

The more she scolded, the madder she got,

Then stomped from his room, totally distraught!

She headed for the den to confirm her fears.

When she saw the wall, her eyes flooded with tears.

The message she read pierced her soul with a dart.

It said, "I love Mommy," surrounded by a heart.

Well, the wallpaper remained, just as she found it,

With an empty picture frame hung to surround it.

A reminder to her, and indeed to all,

Take time to read the handwriting on the wall!!!

I attend a MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers) they gave out this poem to all us moms... It really hit home for me to take time before getting onto your kids-listen to what they have to say and in the long run it will all work out.... Gracie has opened my eyes to sooo many things! Because of her I have learned that its okay to not do the dishes and just dance to Mickey's "Hotdog Dance".... To give hugs and kisses all the time, to slow down and smell the roses.. To just be yourself because thats really who you are!

Precious Gracie is a joy, I have added a few pictures from when she got a bubble bath (that girl LOVES bubbles) Plus some more from when we visited the MOSH museum and Geoffrey the Giraffes Birthday party at Toys R Us!!

Enjoy your kids this week, instead of cleaning and doing all these household chores- Read a book to them... Go for a walk, or our favorite: DANCE!!!

Daddy's little Helper

The other night Stephen was putting more child locks on our cabinets and Gracie wanted to help... I got my camera and snapped a few pics!

They have such a special bond:) It makes my heart smile to see how in love Gracie is with her daddy!! When he gets home she runs to the door and says "Daddy" and hugs his legs!! Its the little things like that, that I think sometimes we take for granted!!

Hope your week is blessed!!

Side Note: I thought more about the possibility of going back to work and I feel like right now is the right time... The holidays are coming up and plus I really wanted a Health Department job (part time at first) I will start my hunt in January!!

God Bless,

K
