Patience...

As I sit here I have lost 5 lbs! I have to continue to remind myself to be patient and with time I will win this battle. I think society puts it in our heads that we don't need patience and everything will happen overnight! Just look at the stars and after they've had a kid.... Not REAL people!

I'm finding more and more things that I love to do besides FOOD! I love walking by the lake- because of the cool breeze, the little ducklings and Steve and I talks! Just getting out of the house and having family time is so worth it these days!

Now on to Scrapbooking-I have went through the 1200 pictures that my grandma took on Vaca and have narrowed it down to 150! I cant wait to start scrapbooking! I have yet to meet a friend up here who enjoys it as much as I do:( While we were up in Pigeon Forge they have a scrapbook outlet and we bought everything and then some of what I'll need!!

As for Gracie she is becoming more and more Miss Independent! She wants to do things on her own without Mommy's help!! Even though she still wants to be rocked ( oh, I wish this never ends)! She loves to tell me "No, Mama" all the time and is with me where ever I go....UNTIL her Daddy arrives home from work and its like the world has stopped and its just him and her! I absolutely love it! She adores I mean adores Stephen! His beard is her lovey and she needs it to fall asleep! A true Daddy's Girl!!

Missing our Bella

Today is the day we finally get to pick up our Dog Daughter "Bella". We have missed her so much. Gracie, especially has missed her! Everytime Gracie eats she usually will throw some food on the floor for Bella and now that she is not here we have to clean it up!!! Its the little things that makes me happy these days-haha!

But, really we miss her kisses and sweet spirit around here. Gracie misses her buddy!

Getting Healthy!

We just got back last Saturday from our Pigeon Forge Mountain Vacation! My grandparents (Gracie's Papa & GiGi) came along too! We had a lot of fun but wow are we tired! We saw so many beautiful mountains! I don't know how anyone could deny God after seeing all that he has made! From the smallest butterfly to the biggest mountain everything was made by HIM!
We saw so many great shows. Gracie LOVES I mean LOVES music! We couldnt get over how she danced and danced to all the songs! People around us said that she was their show! She also has gotten into a routine of saying our prayers! We loved how at every resturant she shout "AMEN" people would look and see this tiny girl with this LOUD voice! She is truly a blessing! I cant explain how much love I have for her.. Although at times she can stubborn or sassy ( I wonder who she gets it from? Hmmm) But what can I say she's my mini me and I love it!

I titled this blog "Getting Healthy" because I feel like its time to start over and lose weight and get healthy! I have been slacking as we all do and I'm determined more than ever to not "diet" but actually become more healthier! I started this healthy living on Monday! I have been walking 1 1/2 miles everyday! Thats not a lot but I'm starting out slow. I have been drinking water non stop and eating healthier smaller portions! I will win this battle:)

Little Miss Firecracker & The one who stole my heart 5 years ago!

Where do I begin!
Today Steve and I celebrated our 5th wedding Anniversary! He surprised me and took me to St Augustine where we stayed in a B & B! It was so romantic I highly recommend it! We feel so renewed and refreshed! Stephen's parents watched little bit- wow did I miss her!
On to little miss Priss! She won Queen in the Little Miss firecracker pageant on July 4th! This was a big win because there were 6 girls and did everything we practiced! She is such a ham- loves the spotlight! I just know that when she gets older she will do great things! We are sooo proud!!
We are almost home thought i'd leave a note!
P.S. I'm so in love with Steve- happy 5 years baby!

The wedding was nice and I have to admit Gracie stole the show on the dance floor! We couldn't get any pictures because she was moving around so much! She danced so hard and for so long
that she slept the whole way home!
The wedding made me think back to our wedding and how in a few shorts weeks it will be 5 years for us and can't believe how fast time has flown by! We have Gracie now and my love for Steve grows each day! Have I told you lately I'm soo in love with him?!?!

I have been having a lot on my mind lately - I have been reading the book "one ministry wife to another" and it really gave me a whole different outlook on the ministry! One of the verses that touched me today was 2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me..

The SBC Convention & Two New Teeth

The SBC convention was so much fun! The Resort was so beautiful and relaxing, I couldn't thank our church members enough! The only problem was the walk and the heat! Buy other than that we had a week of "working" fun! We took Gracie to Chuck E Cheese and she went Crazy- like she could hardly handle the excitement of it all- I had to though cause Chuck E freaked her out haha she loved him but only from a distance!

As for her teeth she has two new molars one on the left and the other on the right- so ALL that pain and fever did not go in vain! The sad part for me is my baby is growing up! Each day she learns something new- most of the time her name is No No lol! She climbs on any and everything! Plus she is a little diva: just last night stephen ran the bath water and it was cold at first it touched her feet just a little and she screamed bloody murder ha!

Tomorrow we leave for Sebring Crystal is getting married on Saturday- stephen is in the wedding... What I most can't wait to see is Gracie shake it on the dance floor that girl has moves lol!

Sweet SummerTime

Ahh its Summertime and its soooo HOT here in Lake City! All Winter long we have been wishing for it to get warmer but not this warm...LOL!


This Summer though will be one of the best ones.. We are attending the Southern Baptist Convention and staying at a really nice resort in Orlando, thanks to one of our sweet church members who owns a timeshare there... This is really exciting because Gracie is old enough to play in the pool and this resort has a lazy river..YES


Also, this month my little Brother Yancey will turn 16!!! I cant believe my "little Baby" is so grown it really shocks me! I feel old!! Especially since Gracie has turned One, I dont want her to grow up but I know I cant stop it... Each day she amazes me! Just Last night she has learned how to say AMEN!! Stephen was praying and at the end everybody said Amen and so did little Miss Gracie!! Then my grandparents visited on their way out of town last night and she just had a ball with them!! She loves when we have company because she gets to show off her dance moves and how smart she is too!! lol
My mom visited Last weekend for a few days and this was her first time up here since January... Gracie loved that too- she ran right up to her with open arms and actually has made up her own name for her: MamMaw!!! We had a lot of fun we went to the Splash Pad, Shelled Peas, and attended church where Gracie got to dress up in her Lil'd Dolly Dress-it was special to me bacause I used to wear them as a kid!


Needless to say, Gracie loves her grandparents and Great grandparents sooo much!! She will be even more spoiled because she gets to see her Nana and Papa too at the convention!! I dont know what we are going to do when July rolls around!!! Oh, wait we are putting her in the Little Miss Firecracker Pageant!! lol!! More to come about that:))
