Where will you spend eternity after you die?

Today, was one of my all time favorite Sunday services. I'm so thankful that the Lord placed Stephen and I at Madison Street Baptist. I cant begin to express what I felt today. Rev. Rick Coram spoke and it was powerful. I was convicted and then some. He preached on when our time on this earth is done where will your home be?!? Will it be in Heaven or Hell.

So many times we think of lost people as people who are outside of the church but many times the people who are most involved in church are the ones who are lost. Rev. Rick spoke about his wife coming to know the Lord after being married to him the Pastor for 10 years. He said that his wife for a long time was embarrassed to come forward because of the fact she was a pastor's wife.

My question for you today is- are you living a lifestyle that would honor God. Have you really accepted him as your Savior and the Lord of your life. Or are you living a lie, because your to ashamed or embarrassed for people to know that your really just a sinner who is lost.

What ever your case may be please today accept Jesus. I don't know where I would be right now if I didn't have him as #1 in my life. I know my heart would be full of bitterness and hate. I'm thankful I have the reassurance knowing Jesus is there on my side.

Lately, I have felt so scared at the Lord's 2nd coming. Today, God spoke to me and I felt so much peace knowing that I will get to spend eternity with Jesus, the angels, and my loved ones- who I miss so much,

Today, the angels in heaven rejoiced because 8 people came forward and were saved. My eyes filled with tears of joy knowing this.

The Bible teaches us that ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Romans 3:23.

The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ and His shed blood. There is a wonderful 3 step recipe for Salvation. I call it the ABC's of the new birth.

A-ADMIT that you are a sinner. (Romans 3:23)

B-BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died for your sins. (Romans 5:8)

C-CONFESS your sins in a prayer of repentance. (Romans 10:9-10;13)

You can receive Christ by praying this simply prayer....

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross for my sins. Right now, the best way I know how, I repent of my sins. I confess that you are Lord. I receive you into my heart this very moment. Thank you for saving my soul today. I will serve you because I love you!

The Perfect Blend

Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven.- Jessi Lane Adams

I admit it. I LOVE Coffee. Stephen has always been a coffee drinker and most of the Ahrens fam has as well. I on the other hand have always disliked the taste. Recently, I have picked up this habit. I have always loved frappuccino from McDonald's and Starbucks but coffee has never been my favorite.

While we were visiting the Ahrens Family for Thanksgiving, each day I had a cup of Jo and it was awesome. I have to drink my coffee with French Vanilla creamer and 2 packets of splenda:) Each morning since I've been back I have had this wonderful delicious drink in the morning and it has been a great way to start my day.

My favorite Mug from my mom:)

Am I getting old- or maybe I love it because its cold outside?! Who knows, but I thought I would share my new love with you all today.

Side Note: Every time I have coffee, Gracie has to have some too. So I get her a mug and pour juice in it and she feels so big drinking her "coffee" too.

Buddy is HERE!!

No, we didn't get a puppy or kitten :) Our Elf on the Shelf arrived last Saturday night.

Meet Buddy.. Isn't he cute!

At first Gracie did not know what to make of this little elf. He must have flown in during the day when we were gone because he was sitting on top of the curtains. Gracie immediately wanted to touch him- but the rule is no touching because he will lose his magic. Every night he flys back to the North Pole to rest, drink hot coco and tell Santa if Gracie has been good or not. If Gracie has been bad that day he will stay in the same spot the next day. So far she has been very good girl.

DAY 1: He is here!
He has been getting into things such as toliet paper. Hoping he doesnt make a mess, but you never know what he going to do next. Each morning Gracie runs around trying to find Buddy because he is always in a different spot.

Day 2: Riding Nestor the Christmas Donkey- Gracie said "That's silly Mommy"

DAY 3: Got into the Toilet PAPER!! Oh no!!

Gracie has this little snowman that plays Jingle Bells and she is always playing it for Buddy:) That's his favorite song. She is also always telling Buddy- "I'm a good girl"... hehe she also tells him what she wants for Christmas.
DAY 4: Reading a story about a ELF to Gracie's toys!

DAY 5: Caught him driving one of Gracie's dolls around the house

During the month of December I will be posting Buddy updates!! He sure gets around... Must be all that magic!!

Love,

Thankful November 2011

Thanksgiving is always so much fun but also so exhausting at the same time. We love seeing family we havent seen in awhile, and the food is always delicious too!

We visited with Stephen's mom and dad at the beginning of the week. Aunt Crystal and Uncle Micah were there also. Gracie loves having one on one time with her Nana and Papa!! She loved swimming in their pool and watching Cartoons on their BIG TV. Pat (stephen's mom) also took Crystal and I to a cute little store in Sebring that has the prettiest crafts. We bought a few Christmas things!

Then we ended the week visiting Mamaw Ray. She had the house to herself because Uncle Yancey and Papa Ray were in the woods. We had a great Thanksgiving dinner with her, Gigi, and Papa Mcnair (Great Grandparents). I made mac and cheese, pumpkin & apple pie. My mom always out does herself. Let's just say we had left overs for a couple days. We went and saw Happy Feet at the Theater and we did BLACK FRIDAY shopping at Wal-mart. We got there at 9:30pm in hopes of getting a $99 convertible car for Gracie. They were only giving out 15 and guess what--- We got number 15 :) It was a lot of fun and Wal-mart did a great job with crowd control. We didn't get bed until 2:30 AM!

Black Friday Ads EVERYWHERE! Ahhh

All the Food..

So Thankful for a loving Husband and my little Best Friend Gracie. I love my life!

When we got home Buddy had arrived. You can read about him here. Gracie was so excited.. I love Christmas Traditions... I'm all about that!

I will do an extra post on Buddy's Adventures so far. He has been a very busy guy!

Until Next Time,

The Pine Cone

Ah the lovely pine cone. I don't know what it is about them, it could be that they are so fun finding or just the fact you can do anything with them. You could make bird feeders with them (just add peanut butter and bird seed) or you could dip them in all different color paint and display them in a glass dish or if you wanna get really crafty you could make name cards for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinners. The endless possibilities,

Today, Gracie and I had so much fun finding Pine Cones in the yard and then painting them. She loves to paint and always tell me so:) We decided to paint them red and green mix then put red and green glitter over them. I found a really neat way to tie them together with ribbon and let's just say it adorable on my front door. I made an extra one for my mom and she loved how chic and country it looked.

My finished creation. I added a red jewel to the top to finish it.

This idea is smartest thing! I can't believe I never thought of it!
You need a can good that has a pull tab. Open it from the bottom- clean out contents. Remove paper wrapping. Dry it well. Put what ever candy you love, cookies, gift cards, jewelry.. Anything small enough to fit inside. Hot glue your favorite scrapbook paper around it. Then hot glue the bottom closed.
Add embellishments, jewels or ribbon and a gift tag that says "Pull my tab"... LOVE!!
